If I ever come across a definitive article entitled "Thermal Conductivity of Road Crap and Its Effect On Spark Plug Heat Shield Efficiency", I'll be sure to forward it to you.

I applaud your civility throughout, and offer my sincere wishes that your spark plug boots always be as cool as The Fonz, if not cooler.

Thanks John. And I would greatly appreciate a copy of the study, should you happen across one...... I would not be at all surprised to find it had already been done, and paid for with our tax dollars......

Whats really funny? When I changed my plugs, I didn't remove the heat shields. Left them fellers in there, as I was in a bit of a hurry, and didn't want to fight with 'em. (it was cold out.....)

Congratulations fellers, spoken like true gentlemen!
No name calling or derogatory remarks toward one another.
Who'd thunk that was possible?

i don't know how anybody gets those off by just wiggling them back and forth. I hit them with PB blaster and vice grips and got no where. I had to beat them back and forth with a hammer.

i removed my tubes and run shorty headers with no problem. 1 wire did lean against the header so i purchased some dei boot covers! those are a really nice little contraption!

never worry about my msd wire melting, getting TOO HOT, cracking...etc

ha

and the complement my headers nicely
