Default misfires

my 97 5.2l ram is misfiring at odd intervals and i cant seem to figure out why or what is causing it, it doesnt matter if i am at idle in park or driving along the road it will sometimes misfire for no reason and the cylinder doing the most misfires is the #4 cylinder for every 7 times it misfires the #3 and #1(i think it was 1) misfire once

this all started happening right after i bought a full tank about a week ago since then i have burned a tank and a half of fuel and it still does it but it is not consistnat, there is nothing i can do to make it happen it just does so when the truck is feeling up to ticking me off or when im driving around with my girlfriend

suggestions?

When is the last time you changed your plugs wires cap rotor? How many miles on the truck? Original O2 sensors? Did you get your next gas at the same station?

Route the wire's this way http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98/18-48-98-v8.htm if you decide to get new one's. And check the lower intake / plenum gasket.

Id suggest changing out the O2 sensors (front O2 at least, it controls Fuel/Air ratio) if they are original with 174k miles. You'll at least see a MPG improvement... Use an NTK (NGK brand) sensor. Does it happen when it is relatively humid out?
