Default Exhaust question

ok, i can hear my cat rattling...and i think she needs replacement....but for now, since my exhaust ends righht after the cat, im going to punch it out with it still in the truck...

Well my question is, i want to get a Cherry bomb glasspack, but would that be to loud with a hollow cat? i dont want obnoxious loud, just mediocre loud (hard to explain lol).....what would be better, Thrush Turbo, or Glasspack with the hollowed cat?

I want to use the glasspack because that is rated to give more hp than the thrush turbo...(an episode of Horsepower they tested all the cherrybomb/thrush mufflers, and got best gains out of glasspack)

or should i spend the money and get a flowmaster 40 series?

i think the only overall difference between the 318 and 360 is only that the 360 has a slightly deeper tone.....

hmmmm....thanks for the input...

yea i cut out my muffler (rusted through) and put a straight pipe in....sounded pretty good, but i went mudding, went into a deep hole, and bottomed out losing the straight pipe lol....so its clean cut after cat...all exhaust pipe is stock.

I'm thinking the glasspack will be annoyingly loud with no cat. Turbo muffler would be better...but you may like loud. I'd go dynomax turbo part #17749. Cheap, quiet, and supposedly flows well. I have a magnaflow, which I like, but if I did it over I'd get the dynomax for the price.
