are we really going to start making fun of vtec in a dodge forum, a dodge TRUCK forum no less?!?! come on guy, i love hondas, just because everyone has them and does stupid crap to them, doesnt make them a bad vehicle. a cleanly, tastefully modded honda is a great car. like me for instance, i used to have a honda prelude, had the h22a4 vtec engine. came with 200bhp, but after a cleanly well thought out modification process i was putting down 200hp to the wheels. yeah i know its not much, but that thing could move. i at one point before my daughter was born had it at 140mph with plenty of the power band left. yeah i know it was stupid, but it was fun at the time. i will never go that fast again, it was a one time thing. i am done ranting now...

i understand that its just a "joke" but it pisses me off to no end because of people making fun of vtec...all it is, is variable valve timing, which just about every auto maker has now, honda was the first one to produce it, vtec runs off of oil pressure, whereas other brands dont. sorry for getting defensive about it, but it annoys me just a tad...

they go BOOM cause people tune them to have either no revv limit, or tuned to go to 11k rpm which theyre NOT designed to do! or they misshift and over revv it and bend valves. other than that those motors are absolutely bullet proof!

LOLOLOL. Yep. Familiar with that. Although, at the time, I was driving a Trans Am..... collected 26 points in two years. (yes, license gets suspended at 12....... the cops on my route to work knew me on a first name basis. )

i managed to get 16 within 3 years of having my license and all before my 20th birthday...i had to take a class to get my driving privilages back, so it also knocked the points down to 13. thats all i have to this day, and i dont plan on getting anymore..
