'00 1500 5.9 Fuel Filter?

only way plugs wires cap and rotor would cause it to not start temporarily would be if they were wet, or if the plugs were no good. he said the truck seems to be running fine, which seems to me its either the o2 sensor/cat, or a fuel pressure problem.

If the tip of the roter and the tips on cap are corroded but not that corroded it could cause it to run fine but also cause too weak of a spark in 2 or more and it would stall

I am thinkin' you got a sensor that is getting hot, and then failing. Just as an experiment..... take the truck out, and drive around town for a while.... see what happens. (have someone with you to help push if necessary, although, the mere act of being prepared for such an event, will pretty much guarantee it won't happen......)

So my truck died when trying to take off from a light the other day. I pressed the throttle, it hesitated and just died. It would crank but not turn over, i got a push from a cop to a parking lot, after sitting about 10 mins I got it to start. I know the fuel pump is running (I can hear it kick on when i turn the key to run. It goes for a second or three...) it seems to run fine now though I've yet to brave the open road since the little incident... My question is could it be something as simple as a clogged fuel filter?
