Default 99 Dodge Ram 1500 Power Steering issuse

I work on all types of cars and found forums to be the best for help. OK Truck and Problem.

This truck has 226K on it, it has been a gem, this girl loves it. Now about 6 months ago i replaced the seals in the steering box cause it was dripping ALOT. Fixed that great every since, now getting cold out, she just put 4 new tires on and got an alignment. Two days later going to work in the morning, started truck, went to leave and it seemed a bit tight monday, then no issues after-wards, on tues morning, couldn't even turn the wheel, felt like a manual steering, i then went over that day and started it up and had the same problem. Truck ran for a bit, then i shut hood started to back up and it was still tight, then is freed up. Drove around seemed fine. This morning same issue, she let it run for 9 mins this time and then a little tight and was fine.

Not sure if it could of been sometime that was done during the alignment, but i doubt it.

I'm thinking that the pumps time is up.

Any ideas would be great or if you need some more info. Thanks

Sticking valves in the pump. I am impressed that you were actually able to reseal it, and it worked.... I have NEVER had any success doing that. But, as to the question at hand, yes, probably time for a new pump.

There is a small possibility that the belt tensioner is sticking when cold and the belt is slipping, even if no noise. Worth a check anyway.
