I'm with Slider on this one. Save your money and get the best parts and or lift you can aford. It will pay for itself in the long run by not having to repace parts do to ware.
What you could be feeling is a bad ball joint and or wheel bearing going bad or ??? Mine is all of the above and it's 11 years old. It's over do for over haul. It will be in the shop as of tomorrow. They have my Chevy ready for the road. I know it's a chevy, but the price was right and it plows like all hell. Can keep my DODGE CLEAN.

Ok so I guess I have decided on 35's and 4.56 gears....I did have one ques though. My buddy has a f250 with the 460 and 4.11 gears he had 33's and now has 36's and he said that when he lets off the gas his truck slows down so fast it's like hitting the brakes is me changing the gears going to cause that also ?

I've never experienced anything like that with my 35/4.56 combo.

yeah i thought he was just talking about now since he has 36 boggers but he said it did it with his 33 mud kings also.....he also said he lost like half or his mpg, but everyone on here said with that combo it was around stock so do you guys think it's probably just his huge motor, but I'm not sure what could be making it feel like he is hitting the brakes when he lets off the gas ?

To me the best combo I had was 285/75R16 with 3.92 gears, good on gas and had lots of get up and go(daily mountain driving). But I had some mods done, At this time not all of them just some. Does his truck have a 5 spd? if so that's why it comes to a slow down fast, no slippage like in a auto trans. Personally I am going from 3.92 to 4.10 not much of a change, but I am not looking to win races.

The feeling of hitting the breaks is the drag from the large mud tires (there is a reason mpg drop). That was the first thing I noticed when I went from 225 road tires to 285 M/T's. I live in a very hilly area and when going downhill with the 225's I would increase speed drastically now with the M/T's I hold my speed or it increases only slightly. It seems to be the aggressive tread when I went from 285 A/T's to the 225's there was a large seat of the of pants power increase but I never noticed deceleration with the large tires.

There is nothing I don't like about my truck right now, I just so happen to have the parts I need and all the tools to do the work, If I was to pay a shop to do this I would just leave it, But that's me. Yes the tires are 35.5 on the truck right know. The truck has the 3.92 gears in it still. I have a few pics i can share, any area you are looking for? The rims I am using have a 4" back space and -11 off set, maybe 2" of tire out the wheel wells. Pm sent.
