Lift with coil spacers or new coils ????
I have a 96 ram 4x4 5.2 with the 3.55's. I am going to get a 5" lift and 35's I have found kits with coil spacers and then new coils. Which kit is going to ride better ? Also who makes a good quality but cheap lift, I don't do any hardcore off roading just some mud and stuff sometimes ?
I have the Top Gun Customz 3" lift and it used coil spacers and rear blocks and I am going to change it out for coils and add a leafs now. TGC has a variety of kits and can be found at http://www.topguncustomz.com. With 35's you are going to want to change out the gears to keep it from being a dog and take some stress off of your tranny.

Highway might be a bit better. Around town will be worse. Of course, the big tires aren't going to help any, even with better gears...... You will be working the engine/trans harder as well, and, being as the trannys in these trucks are a tad weak to begin with..... A BIG trans cooler wouldn't be a bad plan.
4.56 gears will keep rpm close to stock, so, drivetrain longevity shouldn't be compromised overmuch..... There is the real possibility you will get better mileage with these, than the 4.10s.......

Hey Mike. Whenever you put bigger tires on a truck your gas mileage is going to suffer a little bit. Putting bigger tires and then a taller gear should pretty much cancel eachother out and keep your rpm's about the same. There's not much of a difference between 4.10's and 4.56's. With 35" tires, you should be fine with 4.10's. I subscribe to the bigger is better theory so I would personally opt for the 4.56's. I'm not sure what the cost difference is so you might wanna keep that in mind.
