how to remove fan clutch
i was going to put me e fans on today but i went to the auto parts store and rented a fan clutch removal tool... i couldnt even figure out how it was supposed to work...how do i keep my pully from turning also do i losen clockwise or counter clockwise
counter clockwise..... I used a piece of 3/4" flat bar and drilled 2 holes in it . Placed 2 bolts though the flat bar and through the holes in the pully in order to hold it in place . I then put a long pipe on it for leverage and a wrench on the nut and give it a really hard quick jolt....it actually came off fairly easy , but maybe i just got lucky . Good luck .

An air hammer with a chisel or pointed tip works best. Barring that, a piece of metal stock sharpened to a chisel tip or point that is long enough to contact the nut and hit the top with a hammer. Much faster, mush less likely to result in skinned knuckles. For reinstalling, just thread it on about 2 turns and start the engine. It'll self-tighten.
