Here is 33's with around a 3in fabricated spindle, 2dubs. The backspacing should be around 5in.

My 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 before trading it in for my current truck in 2007. I'd love to buy it back if I could ever find it again. 33" tires. 3" lift.

Ok so what do you think would look better a 5 or 6 inch lift with 35's.....I can only seem to find 5 inch lifts that won't break the bank ?

Well if i remember correctly when I bought my lift......anything bigger than 5" requires drive-shaft modifications . My 5" came with tube control arms instead of the stock channels and poly bushings with grease fittings . I guess it depends on how much you wanna pay for additional height. I am more than happy with the performance , durability and look of my Rough Country 5". The only issue I have run into is the drop down sway bar bracket has started to move a little....so I'm going to replace the large bolt and weld it to the frame as I know I will never remove the lift . Mind you I beat on that front end really hard the last time I was out and did some things to it that should never happen to a front end....and that was the only casualty in the front......the trans and driveshafts...well they decided they were not gonna put up with it and shat the bed .

Here's 3" suspension and 285/70x17's. Wheel backspacing on the factory off-road rims is 5.25". I had no rubbing anywhere with this setup.

Here's 3" suspension + 3" body and 35x12.5x17's, same wheels as above.
The Toyo 35x12.50x17 I used to have rubbed the control arms occasionally because they where like over 13" wide in reality.
The 315/70x17's I have now only very occasionally rub, it's rare though.
This is due to the backspacing of these rims, not the amount of lift.
If I had 5" of backspacing or less, I don't think I would ever rub.
