whats the best way to hook it up to the line?
I'm sure they are putting it in there test port. Some people are just bull headed. They do what they want to do. I have mine in my "out" line immediately after coming out of the tranny. That's only because I'm waiting to get my deep tranny pan with a port for the temps sensor.

You got ripped of. If you go to home depot you can get a tee compression for $15. The trans line on diesels are bigger then our rigs.

i would have but apparently this fitting has some sort of locking device inside, to keep a better seal. one members Home Depot compression fitting failed not to long after he installed it.

^ well, that's good to hear. I bet that that one member that had the leaking home depot fitting crossed the threads. There's not much that can go wrong on a fitting like that except for user error. It's not like we're talking about a sensor. My tee fitting from the home depot has been holding steady for a while now without a leak. Hope it works out for you.

gauges succesfully installed

im installing this tomorrow for my trans temp sender, all in prep for the 408. question is will i have to remove the line to use a tubing cutter to cut the outlet line, or will i be able to get the job done while its still attatched. also, how can you tell which line is the outlet?
