Still No speedo...getting very angry....
During all of this did you pull the speedo housing off of the t-case or just the electrical connections?
Also, have you checked to make sure you don't have any bent pins in that connector or maybe some loose wires in it?

i took the whole piece out, and tried both on new t-case......with my new sensor it came with a new electrical connector i had to splice in, so it would fit new sensor, so i know its not from the hook up....
ok now i looked into the haynes, and you are right Zman.....theres a red and white wire that goes to transmission relay, and fuel pump relay.....and when i spliced the new connector on last night there was a red and white wire i had to splice.
but i also see another section of a transmission relay that has a light green and black wire....havent seen this one, could this be the one in the diff?

i also read this;
Quote from Haynes
"Turn the VSS assembly until the correct index numbers on the speedometer adaptor are positioned at 6 O'clock. For Example: if the speedometer pinion has 35 teeth, position the 32-38 index number straight down (6 O'clock)."
I never did this, i just wiggled it in until it was all the way in and twisted it so the clamp would line up.

WOW...i feel like an idiot....
took out the whole speedo adaptor, and looked on the splines on the gear....there was 30, so i put the 26-31 punchmark at 6 o'clock. and boom i have my speedo again.
Took her on the highway felt the TCC lockup, and then it shifted smoothly into overdrive...
FINALLY my truck is back in order. didnt know something that small could make such a difference....should have read the haynes before i just changed out sensors....could have saved $32 on a sensor.......but what the hell, its new so i dont have to worry about it.
