Default Circuit problem...

I have 97 5.2 1500 ram pickup alternater is fine ,however no charge and shift solenoid error. I have checked alt. fuse and replaced relay HELP PLEASE

First of all Welcome . second this post is placed in the wrong area I believe. Are you trying to say that your alternator is working fine but is not charging your battery ? If this is the case have you cleaned up all the wires to make sure they are making a good connection ?

Maybe a mod could move this into the main section so it will get some views...

Have you checked that the charge wire going from the alt to the battery isn't corroded or shorted somewhere? That has happened to me in the past, the wire was corroded right through, about halfway up...

Not sure about the shift solenoid error though and how it would be related.... Surely someone will be of more help. Welcome to DF!
