Check engine light flashing!!!
So, yet another question/problem with my truck...
Just an update of what problems I have had so far. Engine ticking under a load, my truck runs about 3100 rpms at 70 mph yet overdrive seems to engage/disengage when I press the button but only drops about 200 rpm when it does drop. Now when I'm driving at highway speeds for about 10 min. the check engine light starts flashing. It seems to run fine just really high rpms and sounds like its whining out, its seems like I have to put in a lot of effort for it to stay above 70mph. Im going to rip the plenum off when I finish my move to Florida, but I only have a week left until I gotta drive down so I cant do it until then. I replaced my plugs with bosch copper plugs. It idols just fine, and seems to drive fine around town, but when the speed climbs it has a lot of trouble staying there. I cant have autozone check the light because the light turns off when I drop below 50mph. I am going to have a pressure test done for my cat, do you guys suggest replacing the o2 sensors for a temporary fix? Anything I can do to make her run a little better for the drive down to florida? (Im towing my wifes grand cherokee so no O/D shouldnt be an issue) I also ran seafoam my last tank with premium gas too and still no change in the tick. Maybe theres someone near mobile or pensacola that can take a peak at the truck when I get down there. Thanks everyone.

A flashing CEL usually means your cat is fried and or clogged. Too much heat.
It also usually leads to severe misfires, which can lead to knocking.
As far as the SeaFoam, shove some through the brake booster or PCV lines.
There are better instructions, so follow those.

Since you can't fix it for a week or so, a loud but temporary fix would be to drill a hole in the pipe before the cat. At least it will release some pressure and lower the heat so that more damage is not being done to the motor.
