Default Upper bal joint won’t stay pressed in

About 2 months ago I pout new upper and lower bal joints no my driver side 97 2wd 1500. The other day my upper ball joint fell out of the a arm I pressed it back in 2 times and it keeps popping right back out. Can any buddy give me a tip to what I should do from here!

thats weird seeing that the upper is beening pulled down

what kind of joints did you use i know that sum people said that autozone were to small

i put in moog i few years ago with no problems

you have a welder? tach a few spots

I bought the murrays/oreileys store brand with life time warranty. Im going to take it back up there. I have a welder but its a good 20 mins away at my parents. And my truck is obviously not driveable. I'm thinking about using an air hammer to try and bend the a arm a little.

the ones I bought from Oriely, were to small for me. I had the same problem.

Welding them in place ended up being my only answer. I had no choice at the time, Monday morning was coming fast. Its been a couple months now and there still holding strong…. But there going no were!

just throwing a shot in the dark.......did you grease them right up? if not maybe that will hold them in place....

So press it back in, and drive carefully over there.

Wow. thats crazy. We only use moog here maby thats why i never had a problem.

If a ball joint falls out, it's too small. Period.

Or, the control arm hole has been stretched out..... Seen that happen before too.
