Default Battery Symptoms?

Truck started acting funny, (not ha ha funny). It would just about die when dropping to an idle at times, didn't seem quite right when starting. Seemed to take a little longer that it used to.
I started thinking (usually not a good thing). Had this truck 7 1/2 years and haven't had to put a battery in it. So I did. It's doing like it should now. It sure is amazing to this old man how these computer controlled vehicles act some times. Batteries sure have jumped up in price!!

Your plenum is blown, battery is only temporary fix. LOL JK Yea these trucks need a strong battery to keep them running right.

+1, just went through this ordeal. I also noticed my truck was starting a little funny, until one night I got in, turned the key, and nothing happened. My battery only had 14 cold cranking amps (supposed be 750), so I went and bought a new battery, and had my alternator tested as well, turned out I had an open diode which was causing erratic charging (sometimes too much charge, sometimes not enough), so I replaced it with a 136 amp alt just for good measure, and now all is well.
