Fortunately for my ears as well as my wallet, FM radio programming in the Los Angeles broadcast area was outstanding during the 8-track era. I only ever bought a handful of 8-tracks to listen to on click thunk road trips.

Dam Doods I was just tryin to be helpful. There's a guy on my forum making fun of me for paying so much cause he gets his in the junk yard for $20 and fixes em. I tried all that for a couple years. I just wanted the radio Cassette CD combo which worked and has been tested because I use all three. I have cassettes from the late 70's & 80's that still work and haven't been played in a while cause the players I have no workie right. And I love the soundtrack to Lost Highway only came on CD. Anyone remember Robert Logia and that car chase? I haven't touched an 8track since the late 70's. Never liked them.

And you were helpful, too. I was just giving BGR some good natured grief.

The plugs and wires are all completely different starting in 02 (1500) and up. So you'd have to get busy re-wiring all the plugs to accept the harness. Or get an aftermarket radio that will sound a ton better, have aux inputs, etc. for $100 with a harness. Of course, then some crack head will steal it.

No Worries.
It came and its in. Plugs worked direct I had to stretch the ground as it mounts in the upper right corner on the new unit and the stock wire harness plugs across the other side so I had to pull them a bit too. All works and sounds good with the stock speakers. If you use the site call them the guy is knowledgeable and doesn't mind answering questions. Suppose he has to be asking so much...
