So i checked the inside of my intake, and it didnt seem that dirty. Ive seen air filters that were more oily. I could only see the back 1/4 of the intake. It definetly wasnt perfectly clean, but it also wasnt soaked in oil.

One weird thing though, i was able to some black sludge from the seams of the butterflys.

clean the throttle body and seafoam the intake

 

if you have the black sludge on bottom of tb blades, then the plenum is leaking oil.....thats a carbon build up from the oil.

 

yea just change the gaskets, the guy i got my ram from had some kid do and totally f-up and in a nut shell the motor blew because he did a half *** job.
