Transmission line
My truck is equipped with the 46re transmission. On the transmission cooler line coming from the tranny there is a cylinder known as a check valve. I was told to replace this item every 100-120k miles. I was told by a close friend, who is a mechanic at the local dodge dealership. My transmission is 175k, and does have fresh T4 fluid in her.
1. Has anybody ever experienced a clogg or restriction in their one way check valve?
2. How do I go about checking to make sure it is working normal?
3. Should I replace the item?

Dont bother replacing it. Eliminate it. Mine clogged up, and almost cost me a transmission. There are a couple DIY's in the faq section on how to eliminate it. Couple bucks worth of hose, and two hose clamps, less than a ten dollar fix.
