Intake torque? Use spacer?

After I got the intake off I see what you mean about the spacer does nothing on these trucks. The fuel is below that spacer so there is no air/fuel to mix.
I made a lot of progress today, got the intake off, got the kegger mod done and got my belly plate made. Tomorrow I'll clean off the gaskets on the motor and clean the crap out the the keg. I have to change out the plug wires and distributer cap/bug first before I put her back together. I decided it was best to replace the water pump while I had it apart. My 52mm TB should be here tomorrow, hopefully.

Yeah, its only a few more bolts for the water pump, and you are RIGHT there...... Good plan.

Yeah, that is very true. I did my plenum, and did NOT do my water pump. Two weeks later...... my timing cover started leaking........

My truck only has 104,000 miles on it, does it need timing chain and gears this soon?
BTW, my plenum gasket was sucked in on one area, I was glad to see that was causing my oil loss issue and pinging.
I can't wait to get this thing back together! I'm excited!
One more thing....does the sound of the engine change after doing the kegger mod? Does it sound throaty or ????

Mine doesn't sound any different. (aside from NOT sounding like I have a coffee can full of marbles under the hood.)

Get a PCV valve from the dealer as well. The aftermarket units do not have the correct flow rate.

You are going to be RIGHT there..... pulling the water pump pretty much assures that your timing cover will start leaking soon anyway..... (some of the water pump bolts also secure the timing cover.) The stock chain isn't the best, and is probably stretched. I was amazed at the amount of power I picked up with just that one fix.

I got the intake all done last Friday. The plentum was leaking, the gasket was sucked in on one area, and there was what looked like clean oil on top of the plate, I'm not sure if it was oil or not but it was pretty clean what ever it was. I had been losing oil for a little while now, so maybe that was it. My waterpump had been leaking too so that was a good fix also. New heater hoses, plug wires, distributer cap and bug.
The plentum plate was easy to make, I cut it out with my skil saw and a carbide tipped blade, went thru it like butter. Then I used my band saw to trim it around the curves.
Kegger mod wasn't too bad with my long blade on my saws all, took a little while though.
The dremel tool with a cutoff wheel worked really good for cutting a groove at the bottom of the center divider, then I cut down the sides with the sawsall and then broke it out with a hammer. Ported for the injectors to flow better also.
I haven't reset my PCM yet, I still need to install my 52mm TB, hopefully it will be here tomorrow and I plan on resetting it then. I actually wanted to run it before I put that on so I could see how much the kegger mod did for me, and I think it pulls better in the upper range, it wasn't a big increase, but from bottom to top it just feels like it's breathing better. I'm hoping it really shines with the 52mm TB installed.
I want to give you guys a big thanks for the info you have provided on this site, I have been digging in the old post for info on how to do the kegger and my heater core replacement and it saved me a ton of time by doing some homework before I tackled those tasks.
