Default Hughes Air Gap FI/California smog question

I had a really quick question for those of you in Cali that have an air gap installed. Did any of you have any issues when you took it to a test only to get smogged?

Does Hughes have a CARB EO number for it? As it retains all the stock smog equipment, I would think it would be ok..... but, I don't live in cali either.....

That's the thing about Cali. As much as I love it, it's a country within a country.

No CARB exemption number on the part = no pass.

From the CARB web site....

"Any manifold not listed as replacement part by its manufacturer must have an Executive Order to be legal for street use."

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/replace.htm

An actual "replacement part" made of different materials can be used provided it meets the OEM specs. In your case, the Hughes Air Gap is designed differently than the original equipment. It also has no "CARB EO".

Like HeyYou suggested... No dice!
