cruise control light........

Hey out there! My cruise control light comes on but I cannot set-it. Any suggestions on what to check first? My truck is a '97 Ram 1500 4x4 with 5.2L, automatic. Thanks!!

The cruise control servo and vacuum lines are under the battery tray, very often the lines or the servo control itself get corroded and leak. I would check the lines for cracks.
