i kind of figured that. but cant always belive what people tell you just because they are ex mecanics. will do the compression chack soon as i get the chance and have the money to do so. thanks guys will post the result when i do it.

most of the time you can rent(free) compression tester form the local box parts store

mine was about six bucks. Your should be very similar.
