First and foremost, clean the lens if it's yellowed. Wet sanding worked for me. Then take it from there.

How old are the bulbs? get two new ones that match, check all the grounds and clean them, what is your alt gauge saying when the truck is running?

i cleaned my lenses with a dremel tool, buffer pad, and rubbing compound. it removed the yellow and made them more clear. i also replaced the bulbs with the super expensive silverstar ultra's.

they're better than they were, but they still suck.

my next move was to install a brite-box. this will draw criticism... when i switch on the brights, it illuminates both the dim and the bright filament. like when you hold the dimmer stick back. they create some LIGHT. i've seen plans to make your own, but i just bought one.

I'm voting for a bad ground.
It's amazing what a bad ground will do! Problem is, if it's not in an obvious place, they can be a %$#@ to hunt down.

that sounds like a good idea. having your high and low beam lights on at the same time. i might have to try it sometime. i had thought about trying some after market lights on my truck but i might not have to if that works.

Have a go at checking the voltage at the bulb. If it's not near 12 volts then check you earth. If your earths are fine put in relays so that you have high power from your batteries straight into the bulb.

If your not comfortable with checking out electrics I'm sure you'll have a friend who can help in that department
