Default 318 vs 360 engine balance question

I know I read something in here a little while ago where they were comparing how the two engines are balanced different (tranny side)

Was it that the 318 was balanced on the flywheel and the 360 was balanced on the torque convertor? I am looking at doing an engine swap with a 360 and I didn't want to cut corners on the balanceing of the engine.

Thanks for your help!

5.2 is internally balanced, 5.9 is externally balanced.

Thats what it was-

So its only the flywheel I need then, not the whole TC.

Do a search using my screen name as a criteria. I have listed the specifics on here before. It is a little more complicated when you start switching years.

BTW, its a flexplate in an automatic tranny not a flywheel.
