Anyone have h.i.d's here
I got some Christmas money and want to order a pair of 4500k lights from ddm tuning. Can someone post pictures or there or if they had any problems while doing this
Kelvin temperature is not a measure of brightness, just a measure of the color of the light.
6000k is the highest you can really go before you start actually losing a lot of visibility. 8000k or 10000k may appear to give you better brightness, but it is just trick of the eye, its actually less lumens, which means less light output.
Also, if you do HID, change your factory headlamps out for a set with either a projector housing or a "sight guard" reflector inside. The factory headlamps have no such sight guards, and will blind oncoming traffic if HIDs are put into them.
Here is a comparison of the lm (lumens) to the different colored HID kits.

Good Idea love my hids, got them from ddm, get there slim kit, its great quality and alot easier to find room for versus there raptor kit, and yes the kelvin stuff does not affect brightness just color, if you want brighter get the 55w kit instead of the 35w
Im not saying the 4500 is not worth gettin, if you want a straight white color with the optimum light output then 4500 is what you want, most of your luxury cars with HID's stock are 4300.
Havent heard anything bad about the 55w but the desicion is up to you I was just throwing that out for suggestion if you were looking for the most light output
