Will center dump '86 LA 318 exhaust manifolds bolt up to '96 magnum heads? Any potential loss in power if they do fit?
The LA and Magnum motors share the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern so yes they will bolt to the motor. They will not work with the magnum motor mounts though as the LA manifold dumps right into the mount. Many LA exhaust manifolds have emission passages that may allow exhaust leaks.
The factory magnum exhaust manifolds are some of the best exhaust manifolds Dodge ever produced. The LA manifolds you have will reduce power and efficiency.
