Default anybody have problems with 4 wheel vacuum bs

i went to shift into 4wd the other day in the snow and it wouldnt engage the front axle. the t case would lock and everything but the front wheels wouldnt. so i took apart the little cad thing in the front and the shift fork just slides right over the collar inside the axle and wont shift it....shift fork thing worn out? looking at getting the cable posi lock thing. anyone have this problem and the solution i want?

posilok is the best answer, but the fork is supposed to be in the groove of the collar. the fork might be mis-aligned.

in a posilok installation you have to reuse the fork, fork-pads, and collar.

Your problem has nothing to do with the vacuum obviously. make sure you get the shoes for the shift fork also.
