Block heater recommendation
My pickup doesn't get to sit in the garage on snowy nights anymore, just not enough room in there like I used to have. It was -2 this morning. Made me remember that i've been wanting to install a block heater. Any recommendations on a good one?
i don't know anything about them, but i've seen recommendations of using a lighted extension cord, or other highly visible indicator light to try and prevent driving off with it still attached.
When I was in Alaska, I used a block heater and battery heater on everything I drove. Temps where in the neg 40's and 50's though. Without it, even a gas car wouldn't start. I can't imagine driving off still plugged in though. I suppose people do it though. I saw a video of a car driving down the road with the gas pump handle and 5 ft of hose still hanging out of the gas tank. That would be worse.

Just go with the mopar block heater for the engine. if you really wana go all out get an inline heater for your coolant, this would heat up all your coolant keeping the bloack warm and the minute you start your truck the vents would blow heat. As long as your battery is in good shape and properly charged battery warmers are a waste of money.
