Default 1996 ram starting problem

Whats up everyone? I'm new to the forum and have owned my ram for about a year now. I'm having a starting problem with the truck. It's a 1996 dodge ram 1500, 2wd, 318ci. Sometimes when I turn the ignition the engine will bump but wont crank, just bump over for a split second and then nothing with the ignition held in the start position. This seems to be getting worse by the day. Ignition switch? Starter? Relay? Any advise is appreciated.

Default RE: 1996 ram starting problem

sounds to me like its time for new brushes in the starter.
I had a dakota do the same thing. I took it to a starter rebuild shop and the guy fixed it in about 2 min.
it cost me a case of beer.
