Based on the shutoff of domestic oil drilling, and output already planned to decrease in 2011 even though demand is increasing in China, India, and the surrounding areas, Some experts are predicting prices as high as $5 per gallon in the US by the end of the year.

I own a car and truck. One gets 11.8 MPG and the other gets 12.1 MPG. Seriously been considering selling my 4x4 truck and buying a 2WD w/LSD V6er instead as a DD/Hauler/Tower based on those projections, and buying an offroading jeep for the rare occasions we get snow...

The Durango is not going to be much better than your truck or possibly worse. A guy I work with gets worse MPG with his Durango then I do with my truck. His is the 5.2 and I have the 5.9.

Don't look at a Jeep liberty, nitro, or a grand they all get bad gas mpg, and as Slider1500 says Durango's are worse than our trucks, it does not matter what motor it has.
