Tranny
i ALWAYS put the truck into neutral before i take off. I leave it in neutral for at LEAST 10 seconds. And i never have a problem.
Im saying this because, like stated before, the TC isnt full on first cold start up, and putting it in neutral will fill the TC up.

I have the exact same problem my driveway is on a slight grade so it does it quite often... I flushed the trans lastnight and put new tranny filter in and the fluid was fine wasnt burnt smelling or anything but I replaced it just to be sure, truck still does it.. It might just be cause its winter and its cold but after the truck is driven for a while it doesnt do it anymore just like previous post only when the truck has sat for a while cold

I always start up my vehicles and put them into neutral right away while it warms up, this ensures the pump is moving the fluid and after 5 mins I just pull away, never had an issue with any of my vehicles. I always plug em in (block heaters/battery blankets) when it hits -10C or colder, and I always let em warm up for at least 5 mins when they're plugged in (-10C or colder). Most of the winter is -15 to -20C with (usually) a few weeks of -40C thrown in, just to remind us how cold it could be!! LOL
