Default Need some minor help.

Just a couple questions about bed caps.

My quad cab has the sliding window and I have a Leer Car with the window as well, so it works out. At one point on eBay I saw a sort of gasket you put that goes around the space you'd have if you slid the windows apart, so you'd have a sort of passage inbetween the cab and the bed that wasn't wet.

I have no idea what such a thing is called and Google has really yielded nothing since I don't know what words to search.

Also, what are good ways to make a cap waterproof? My girlfriend and I ended up getting really soaked after sleeping in the bed on a camping trip. Would the main cause be the rubberized stuff between the cap and truck? Just wondering. I remarked we could always toss a tarp over the cap but I'd prefer it just look normal.

Sorry if the questions seem trivial.

Regards,
Pat

When there was a cap on my truck, we put a foam strip between bed and cap and that didnt let water get in, might want to check the windows and brake light to see if they are leaking.

We had a little inflatable bladder basically that sealed from the cab to cap and worked great for trips, kept the cap A/C'd for the dog, we got it from the same place we got the cap, so local place probrably best spot
