Default 98 ram 1500 just quit?

Just driving down the road at about 25mph and started slowing down. got it pulled over to the side and it starts then quits every time. Fires right off but as soon as I go to run on the ignition it dies, no CEL, no backfires, was about 15 deg out when it happened.
Any ideas?

Check fuel pressure with a gauge.

It turned out to be the fuel pump, replaced it with a new one. After I replaced it though the pump still would'nt run. I shorted out the pins at the fill pump relayand the pump ran so I swapped out the relay and it still would'nt run. I checked the ASD relay and it's working correctly sending the voltage to the relay.
After checking back and forth I found that the ground for the fuel pump relay was'nt there. I can't seem to find were that ground is supposed to come from but if I run a ground to that pin on the relay then the truck runs.
Anybody know where that ground should be coming from?

Oh yeah, if you need to drop the tank with fuel in it I just want to say that web straps are your friends.

You have a 98, have you downloaded the FSM from the FAQ section? Wiring schematics should be darn close if not the same.

Edit: one ground you check though, is the one that is bolted at the top of the power steering pump.

According to that manual the grounds are mutual for all the relays in the power distribution box. In my haynes manual as close as I could see it was saying the power train control module(?).
I put a full time ground on pin 85 for now and I've got it idling outside for a half an hour or so to see if it keeps running. I'm just a little unsure if it's going to cause any problems, from the service manual it looks like it should be a full time ground anyway and if that's true it should'nt cause any problems.
