right rear seal leak!?!?!?
Take the tire off, pull the axle out, take off brake drum, take the hub off, knock out the old seal, press in the new seal (hammer, and a block of wood works fine). Put hub back on, put axle back in, put drum back on, put tire back on. Go in and take a shower, as you will STINK.
Maybe an hour.
Not sure just how the hub is held on. I assume a rather large bolt, holding bearings in place.... can probably rent the right socket from the local parts store.

Here are the steps
- Lift and secure vehicle
- Remove right rear wheel
- Remove right rear brake drum
- Open and drain rear differential
- Take out the cross pin from the carrier
- Remove C-clip on the right hand side
- Pull out right hand shaft out
- Remove bad seal
- Install new seal
- Put everything back together in the reverse order
Make sure to clean the cover and where it seals against the diff.
Refill with fluid
U R ready to go
Labor 1+ hour - make sure to give your sealant some time to dry before filling gear oil.
Hope this helps
