it has 192000 on it, im not to worried about gaining a ton of power. basically i want something with a good deep bark through all ranges and i dont want to diminish power anywhere.

So it's mainly for the sound that you want to make the change? In that case, give a listen to the various cat-backs that can be found on manufacturer's web sites and on youtube, but avoid those with really fat pipes because they'll rob you of low end power. Generally but not universally, louder = more low end power loss/greater top end power gain.

Stick to recognizable name brands -- a lot of the no-name crap sold on eBay will rust through in two years of Missouri weather.

For my needs, I'm very pleased with the Magnaflow direct fit cat and Gibson Swept-Side Single. I'll be adding Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers soon -- I had a set on a similar engine and loved 'em. With this setup I won't make the peak horsepower numbers that others might, but the additional power comes in at the lower RPM's where I want it.

If you're wanting to rattle windows or chase greater peak horsepower numbers (at the cost of bottom end power) then a setup such as mine would disappoint you. The Magnaflow cat would still be a very good choice, but you'd want something different in front of and behind it.
Thread Jack...Looks like that pic was taken South of Santa Fe NM, are those the Sandias in Background...?

Nah, the pic's East of Las Vegas, NV, a few miles from Lake Mead. But within a few months any new photos will be taken in New Mexico.

I agree.

I had a Series 40 Flowmaster but swapped it for the Series 10. With the California set up, the Series 40 was very quiet. They market the Series 10 as "not recommended for street use" but it sounds great on my truck. It's not too loud. It's "loud-ish" with a convincing rumble.
