How do you figure out what is needed to swap a '96 46re into a '98? Does anyone know where you can find some good information? What's involved?

 

The only differences are going to be the electrical connections, mechanically, they are exactly the same. You would need to look at connector pinouts for both years, and see if anything is different. (which really wouldn't surprise me......)

The both need to be for the same drive line as well. (4x4 vs 2x4)
