Default Tail lights wont turn on

I have a 94 ram 1500 and the other day the tail lights stopped working. the brake lights work fine and the lights are not burned out. the head lights work fine and the blinkers work as well. every thing works fine except for the tail lights.

Check fuses first. Don't recall which one does the taillamps.

Check the wiring at the back of the headlight switch next, and the switch itself as well.

Default taillights inop

i had the same problem about 2 years ago on my 95 1500 it ended up being the wiring in the left rear behind the bumper the salt on the roads at the wires away. there is a fuse for them located in the drivers door jam and it is a 20 amp blue fuse. on mine it kept blowing it because i had a short there. hopefully this helps you out.
