Is it the fuel pump?

Is it the fuel pump?
On December 20th, my truck didnt fire up after work so it sat there for two days. It would fire off starting fluid and no fuel was going to the rail, all the fuses were good too, so, I assumed it was the pump. I had it towed ($95 buck later) to a garage so my brother could put a new pump in for me. He let it sit inside for a few hours and went to start it and it fired up. Humm, perhaps water in the line froze? I put a bottle of heet in it and it ran perfectly fine until today (1/10). I went to run to the bank, and no start again. I cant hear the pump kick on like last time.

I went through almost the exact same thing about a month ago. Figured with the first deep freeze of the winter something just froze up. I told the tow truck guy that I thought it might be the pump because there wasn't any fuel at the rail or maybe the lines were frozed. He had me get in the truck and crank it and proceeded to hit the bottom of the gas tank with a hammer. Fired right up. He took it to my brothers garage and they unloaded it the same way. Not to say this is your problem, but a new fuel pump fixed it for me.
