Default new dodge ram owner

I recently bought a 99 ram 1500 sport 4x4,the guy i bought it from said it came from the factory with a lift,i cant find any info online about it,i want to put a lever kit on the front and want to know if they just stuck bigger springs in it or if it has bigger shocks and different front end parts to compensate for a lift.if anybody out there has any info send it my way please.

The only Dodges that I know of that came with a lift were the ones with the offroad package. Other than that they are all the same from what I know. Maybe someone else can tell you more.

The Off Road package was only available in 2000 and 2001. I think the PO of your truck was mistaken. Not dissing your truck, just its previous owner.

Some pictures of the truck and the various parts we're talking about can tell us more.

If you are just looking to level it a 2" spacer set should do just fine.
