Lift and level
I'm looking at doing a lift. My questions for anyone who may know are:
1) Will a 5" lift also level my truck?
2) I have a plow, and was wanting diesel springs to help with the weight. Will using diesel springs combined with 3" spacers up front for 5", and 3" lift in the rear be level or have the truck leaning back?

1) Yes, most of the time. Some kits with new rear springs lift the rear a touch higher than the front, and give it a slight factory rake again.
2) Swapping to diesel springs will definitely help with supporting a plow. But, the small issue is you never really know exactly the amount of lift you may gain. I have heard several people say they only gained 2-2 1/2", while I personally gained a solid 3 1/2" with the set I had on my 2nd gen.
And if you want around 5" of lift, maybe consider a set of small lift springs for a diesel (like 2 or 3"), then you wont need a spacer too.
Also, if you are going with 5", make sure you get all the necessary components as well (drop pitman arm, drop track bar mount, longer control arms etc.)
i agree....as most may remember my black 99 ram sport, i put diesel springs in it from an 07, i gained a def solid 3 1/2-4" up front and then in the rear i swapped out my factory 3" blocks for some skyjakker 5" blocks with the pinion taper. i sat level. what i did was i did the front first then got the tape measure out and figured out how much i needed to lift the rear to make it level and went from there.
another thng you may want to consider is the fact of putting a 5" lift on your truck may make plowing a son of a b*itch, even with custom drop brackets for the plow frame just bc of the high center. just a food for thought.

3.5-4" would be fine. 5" while plowing is one thing I been throwing back and forth. '07 springs will fit? What modifications had to be done...if any? All I've found is approx. 1.75-2.5" on diesels (94-02). Without the plow on I need roughly 2-2.5" in the front to level. I don't remember exactly.
