Had this same thing happen to me. Feels like I'm reliving it. I ended up braking the thermostat housing. Used a ex out and it broke there. So I got the Hughes intake. When I was taking off the old intake manifold broke another bolt. So just take your time spray those suckers with pb blast if u take off the intake manifold to work on it better
wait... did you hear that? Thats the sound of the bolt extractor snapping. Muffer Fuffer. I blame you 281-318magnum. Just had to say it didnt you? Geez. Well looks l have an excuse for the new intake. Not exactly the way I wanted to do it but such is life. Everything was going great. Perfect hole. Dead center. and then.. YES! That sound.
snap on makes a broken tap extractor that also removes broken cheapo ez outs.not sure if you can find them at napa though.of course a new intake is good too
If you have a Grainger near you, they might have something as well. You need a corporate account to shop at most of them, but I often tell them I work at NAPA and they just ring it up under their code and I pay them on the spot and NAPA never knows about it.
