Bypassing tranny sensor
I was plowing last night and my tranny line sprung a leak right where the transmition sensor plugs into the tranny cooler line. I've patched up my tranny line before with fuel line and i would like to know if I can bipass that sensor and put a feul line in where that section of the line is? I know it will throw a code, but will it cause any other problems?
Thanks,
Jeremy

I've patched up the line many times with fuel line and it's worked fine. I just don't have the money for a new tranny line right now. and are you saying the sensor is for a guage I don't have and doesn't make a difference.
Ah huh...Go to Napa, ask for say a foot of each. They'll be around the same price.
The sensor is for your tranny temp light at the bottom of the climate controls on the dash.
I agree with the others about the fuel line. Have you considered bending your own tranny lines out if metal. It sounds like yours are in rough shape and it may be cheaper to do it yourself. I only paid $70 for brand new lines prebent at Autozone though.
