i think the HD2500 calipers and 3500 cailpers will fit as well.

so did we determine if dual piston calipers from either the 2500 or 1500 will fit w/o replacing the knuckle?

The dual piston caliper from a 1500 or will not work without changing the knuckle. I've seen them in junkyards, they are not the same. Plus I think the ball joints have different P/Ns too.

so..
1500 single caliper= OEM for my 1996
1500 duals will not fit with out replacing knuckles
2500 singles will fit directly ?
2500 duals will not fit with out knuckles?

haha guess i will go to 2500 calipers or stick with 1500.. How much will 2500s help? (the singles)

piston is noticeably bigger... so, more braking effect for same pedal effort. You will like it, and for the price difference, more than worth while.

sweet! I will upgrade. I also have somewhat of a soft pedal. No leaks and lines all look fine. compared to the diesel my pedal is about twice as soft. Normal with these dodges? Brakes seem fine, just softer than what im used to pedal wise.(doesnt go to floor)

Yeah the 2500 caliper for matching year is direct replacement, only need to order the matching pads
