Default Instrument Panel Bulkhead Connector

In the attached picture is the instrument panel bulkhead connector. I'm removing my instrument panel and need to disconnect left side electrical connections - most of which terminate at the bulkhead connector.

I just want to make sure removal of the center bolt is how you disconnect the instrument panel harness from the bulkhead. It would be really bad if it actually was holding the pins in the connector assembly .

Advice greatly accepted

Never had to remove one, but yeah the pins should all be contained inside the connector, and the bolt is holding the connector in. I think older ford pcms are that way.
