Default Exhaust kit.

What would you recommend for a 97 dodge ram 1500 v8 magnum?

I've been looking all around. I'm not sure what would be the best full kit to buy. something inbetween 100-300 bucks

Step 1: Go to YouTube.com
Step 2: Listen to various mufflers on Rams
Step 3: Buy the muffler you like
Step 4: Enjoy

Seriously, I cannot tell you what you are gonna like. What sounds good to some people sounds like poo to others.

I'm not looking for any specific sound.

I'm really just trying to get some opinions from others. See what they like.

Jegs is a little cheaper. I running 36in glass pack where muffler went and a nice after-market tip. Just puttin' around it sounds ok but gettin' on the hwy sounds beautiful.

just an opinion, i run flowmaster 40 series w/ 2 1/2" piping and its got a deep throaty sound and have had alot of compliments on it. Did all the work my self, ran me about 150 bucks, 75 for muffler and 75 for rest of hardware. hint: if u do it ur self use stainless steel band clamps for connecting the pipes and muffler.

40s are loud if you like loud .glass packs cackle to much for me and are pretty much straight pipes but a little quieter .ill be running a series 70 delta flow flomaster its a bit quieter than most of the others . but still has deep rumble to it that will suit my needs .

got flowmaster 40 series on my 1998 and 50 series on my 2002 and love them both, had both installed by pros so all the piping was bent proper and welded, about $250 per truck.
