over drive problem

I suspect it is a temp issue. If the PCM was commanding O/D, or TCC lockup, and not seeing an RPM drop, it would whine about it.

Trans fluid was still very cold then. Trans pump does not run in park so there is no fluid circulation to warm it up though the radiator. My truck doesn't to warm up will when it is 20f out, let alone -5 or any wind chill. Where was your coolant temp?
