Default 10 year old battery

Well, the stock factory battery quit after 10 years of abuse. She was a good one, jump started a few fords, blasting the radio for hours late night camping, spotlighting elk in the middle of night, winching over countless snow closed passes, endless tire fill ups with the compressor...... yeah, I got my money out of her!

Went and picked up an Optima Yellow Top, hope I get another 10.

optima's, in general, are suppose to get double the life of a regular battery. I myself have a red top. Got it for only $100 brand new.

The yaller top is a good'un if you have a winch. It's a combo crank 'n deep cycle so it can take being depleted when using your winch and charge right back up...

My stock battery lasted about 8 yrs, then crapped the pan. I went with the Optima red top on mine, and have had zero problems with it.

I wonder who made the batteries for our trucks? Because they made some damn good batteries.
