will a newer 09 muffler/resonator fit on a 96? with considerations of jury rigging it, i was wondering if the newer style muffler and resonator would work without too many problems.

why would you want a stock muffler if you are going through the time and effort to do it put on a nice aftermarket one?

I put a 22" long Magnaflow on mine and it sounds great, it's pretty much as quiet as stock while it's idling, and I can hear a light deep tone while cruising. It's exactly what I was looking for. I got mine off of Ebay for $64 shipped. It slips right over the 2 1/2" pipe on both ends.

Put a Dynomax Super Turbo on with a factory tailpipe. Nice rumble, but not loud by any strech.
