Default REALLY bad oil consumption

Ok. i got a 98 ram slt 5.2 with 130k. I am burning yes burning not leaking not plenum not pcv. 1 QUART per 300 miles maybe more. I occasionly have and erratic idle. And occasionly when i accelorate from a stop at about 40% throttle the truck bogs down like its starving for gas. until i let off and lay on it. My o2 sensor throws a heater circut when its below freezing outside. i have a slight exaughst leak. maybe the air is messing with the ratio for the sensor idk. Sensor is fairly new. not valves or ring got 170pds in 7 of 8 holes and one with 150. maybe bad fuel injector? all the plugs are carboned up and so is the o2. but not oily. Please any help would be great.

If you are indeed burning the oil, need to figger out how it is getting in there. What led you to the conclusions of what it is not? Plenum and PCV can account for a LOT of oil consumption.......

Aside from those, it would be either rings, or valve guides. Neither of which is cheap to fix.

My truck went thru three quarts a week, being driven less than 200 miles.... and I rarely saw smoke out the tailpipe. Fixing the plenum reduced consumption, but, it wasn't until I got a PCV valve from the dealer that it dropped to almost nothing. Aftermarket PCV valves are not consistent in their flow rates, and some of them are just WAY wrong.

Replace the PCV valve with a unit from the dealer.

If you are "burning" a quart every 300 miles, I'll bet the fire dept follows you everywhere! It must be smokin out the tailpipe like crazy! They'll love ya in the summer, a real "mosquito killer"! LOL
I had an old bush beater 4X4 that burned about a quart every 250 miles and lordy, lordy, you didn't want to get stuck with it, cause that sum bit*h would put you down with the smoke and fumes comin outta the tailpipes! LOL I think the only reason it never fouled a sparkplug was because it spent most of it's runnin time WFO !!! LOL
